Launched last year, The Messy Box has become one of The Event Box’s most loved and distinctive experiences, a fully immersive sensory and messy play journey designed especially for curious little explorers.

The Event Box is the only family entertainment and events venue to offer a dedicated, fully immersive sensory and messy play experience, making The Messy Box truly unique and incredibly special to our space.

Hosted twice a month at The Event Box in Sunningdale, Cape Town, each Messy Box session is carefully curated to spark imagination, encourage exploration and celebrate play in its most joyful form. Every experience features beautifully styled, themed stations filled with colours, textures and interactive elements that invite children to explore freely.

Little ones are encouraged to squish, pour, mix and create at their own pace, engaging all five senses in a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment. Sessions include immersive themed messy play followed by open-ended imaginative play, allowing creativity to flow long after the messy fun begins.
